Not all website traffic is the same, and in fact, most is not the kind we want. Purchased traffic from ezine ads, advertising sites, or mass e-mail sending sites can vary in quality significantly, and may or may not be what you are seeking. Hit or miss traffic is not what any marketer wants.
Ezine ads need to be targeted. Choose quality ezines that are specific to your niche, are well laid out, and professional. Also make sure that you subscribe to them and test them out for delivery, consistency, professionalism, and normal things like proper formatting, grammar, punctuation, spelling, and so on.
Mass mail sites vary wildly from site to site, and I will not recommend them. One of the internet's more deceptive marketing methods is the promotion of fake e-mail lists. If you can find and verify one or two that are well known and reputable, then you can try them, but there are better advertising methods.
Press releases are good if you can find a site that guarantees exposure and is willing to give you a report that you can verify. This particular resource is limited, though, by timing. A press release for an affiliate link that anyone is using will be ignored by most press agencies. A launch of a new system, however, is ripe for a press release and will get much more exposure. Another issue with press releases is that there is really no guarantee of success. Agencies my not pick up the release, and readers may not read the article. This is a method that should really be reserved for a serious advertising budget.
The very best traffic comes from two sources:
1. Free traffic that you generate yourself through articles and videos that you promote on social media sites. This is a very powerful method that always gets results, even though it takes some time to develop. This is extremely powerful because the people who subscribe to your list through this method have already been exposed to your message and are indicating they want to hear and learn more from you.
2. Pay per click advertising. If properly done, PPC is very powerful and can bring you an endless supply of leads for a relatively low cost. This is an advanced methodology that requires a lot of knowledge and skill, but really is the cream of the crop when it comes to building an online presence. Make sure before trying PPC that you have researched it, read Perry Marshall's book: The Definitive Guide to Google AdWords, and have a budget that will allow you flexibility to fail a bit before having a profitable campaign.
Overall, the traffic methods you choose should be well researched, targeted to your message, and tested. Then tweaked, improved, and tested again. This process never really ends, and as you get better at it you will see more and more results. Don't make the mistake of spamming ads on Facebook, Twitter, and other social media sites. Provide value and real, useful, content. The idea is to set yourself apart and draw traffic to your website by providing value and setting yourself up as a leader.
Hello my friends, I'm Dave Cleinman. Network marketing is all about being a leader and providing value. Notice all the ads that spam you every day through e-mail, all over FB and Twitter, Myspace and other social media sites? The Network Marketing leaders don't do this!
