The 7 Best Ways to Get Free Traffic to Your New Online Business Website

Learning how to get free traffic to your online business website or blog is the only way to get a fast start to making money on the internet. Converting your traffic to sales or new members is where you earn your money. But traffic is the lifeblood of your business and without it you have no business.

So many new internet marketers never make a profit because they use paid advertising to drive traffic and make either tiny or no profits. This article outlines the seven best ways to get free traffic to your website so you can generate leads for your new online business whilst at the same time building up your online presence.

The seven marketing methods below are generally what the top producers in this industry are doing on a daily basis.

1. Articles = 5-10 per week

2. Press releases = 2-5 per week

3. Videos = 5-10 per week

4. Squidoo lens or hub pages = 4-5 per week

5. Blog posts = 2-3 per week

6. Email broadcasts = 5-7 per week

7. Social media = 15-30 minutes per day for each of your social sites (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, BetterNetworker.com)

When I'm teaching these methods to new online business owners, one of the most common problems they have is knowing how many of these to do and how much time they should be spending. So alongside each is a rough breakdown of how much content you need to be getting out there to get free traffic to your website in significant volume. Build this up as you gain skills and experience in writing or creating videos.

The numbers above may seem high, particularly if you are starting your online business part time. So here some of my top time management strategies for creating content to get traffic to your website:

1. You should choose either articles or videos as the BASE of your content production then add 2-3 other mediums to get free traffic. Do these consistently every single week without fail and you will build up a serious online authority, which will also help you in paid advertising when people look you up. (And they will!)

2. A great technique I use for 'using time twice' (or actually many times over) is from your base article or video, you write a version for your press release, Squidoo lens or hub page site, you blog about your article or video, you send out an email to your list about it and you talk about it on your social media networks.

3. Use Ping.fm to get out your short social network messages and ping around half of your blog posts specifically using a tool like Pingomatic. If your ping account is linked to a load of other social networks and social bookmarkers and RSS feeds, your one base article or video and blog post will get found in masses of places all over the internet.

4. Create a process map or table for each thing you do and in what order. For each topic or keyword you are targeting, you can mark off as you go along. I actually produce this on paper and tick it off as each one is submitted, it's incredibly satisfying knowing you are getting all that content out there that will get free traffic to your website and generate free leads for your business.

With this exact approach, I can get free traffic directed to my capture page that generate me hundreds of targeted leads for my business each month. It may take time to build up your 'pipeline', so consistency over several months is key here to building momentum.
